| What is Verification?
Verification, also commonly known as Quality Assurance (QA), is the set of activities a software project has to go through to ensure that the system being built is complete and stable, and meets its specifications. A system that has been assured of Quality reduces the total cost of a system over its lifetime and at the same time significantly increases customer satisfaction.
Vertex Approach
Many software projects approach testing and verification from a release cycle perspective. This means, that QA activities are undertaken as part of a project plan and focus on ensuring quality and completeness of that release cycle. Most systems have multiple releases as the product or system evolves.
Our approach to verification brings in the perspective of product life cycle as testing is planned and executed. Just as each release of an application and its functional capability builds incrementally on its previous releases, we believe that quality also should incrementally build and leverage investments already made in previous release cycles.
